WHY INTEREST RATES ARE SO LOW RIGHT NOW AND SOLUTIONS TO THIS

Interest rates around the world, both short-term and long-term, are exceptionally low these days.*

Good news if you like shopping ????️

(or want to get a low interest mortgage!) ????

Bad news if you're wanting to get a good return for your money ????

So what is happening? ☝️

The interest rates set by banks, for both borrowing (e.g. mortgages) and lending (e.g. savings accounts) are influenced by the Base Rate.*

Keeping the Base Rate low helps to regulate inflation.

And therein lies the answer.

The Base Rate is set up to help keep the UK’s inflation target of 2%.*

A low Base Rate encourages people to borrow money as it is less expensive for them to repay. (Didn't I say it was good for shopping?)

Less money spent repaying debts = more spending money! ????

So it's meant to be helping the economy recover from the pandemic and keep inflation in check.

And lots of people buy into it - shop, shop, SHOP!

Afterall, there is no other choice - spend it and help the economy, or keep it and earn MINUS interest rates...- or is there? ????

At Prosperity Property North our investors earn an indicative interest of 4-8% rate.

Your money should be working hard for you, too.
